Lend a hand is a viable part of this growing community. We are a faith based non-profit organization located with Mission United Methodist Church. Before 1992 Lend a Hand was formerly known as Westark River of Life Ministries, Inc., as well as WEREOK Affordable Housing Coalition. The principal office was located at Central Mall Office Plaza in Fort Smith. Since it is very inception, Lend A Hand has worked diligently to provide safe, affordable housing for the citizens of Fort Smith and surrounding areas. We believe that providing a solid, firm, and lasting foundation will help bring about a more stable economic basis for this community.

We have a remarkable, winning and exceptional team and partners. As our program is for first time homebuyers, we offer down payment assistance, if needed. We will walk you through the process in equipping you with first hand knowledge of homeownership. Credit counseling is available.
